A Message from Mandie Lavin, CEO
Friends and Supporters of the National Funeral Exhibition, we are all set for the most successful exhibition to date, working with our partners, Grandstand Events Limited and with our Business Manager Kirsti Tomkinson at the helm, the excitement is palpable. The event is being supported with a real investment in marketing and ensuring high quality footfall so all exhibitors can maximise the benefits of exhibiting. International interest has been at an all time high.
In all walks of life we see celebration of success through awards, medals, honours, prizes and showcasing of the very best of products and services. This year the NFE will be the place to do business, forge new relationships and sell the very best to the very best; to make sure that the products and services at the heart of our industry are the hallmark of excellence. Very soon the funeral directing market place will have a changing dynamic, with industry regulation in Scotland dominating the landscape, supplying a regulated industry may have its own challenges. At the NAFD we are with you all on that journey and also helping to define the regulatory routemap, together we can lead the way.
We are all highly privileged to play a part in people’s lives when they need us most. In my early months as your CEO I have been amazed to see the precision, care and quality that underpins all that we do. Nowhere is that more evident than in the market place of funerals, second best just will not do and the public have ever higher expectations and aspirations and we are all playing our part in meeting them.
This event is at the pinnacle of that excellence and you all play your part. We wish you all a happy, successful exhibition, we will be capturing feedback and bookings for 2019, I am immensely grateful to you for the support and help we have had with this exhibition and as you are busy getting orders in and banners printed, I commit to meeting all of you at Stoneleigh so I can convey my personal thanks.
